Anyway, I must now tell you about the night that DH was released x3

The events of my escapade into cosplay and the release of the final Harry Potter book.

Okay, so, I, as many of you know, went to Midnight Magic at my local Barnes and Noble. This was my first one, so..yeah >.>
And, of course, I dressed as Draco Malfoy.
The categories for the costume contest were divided up into children 5 years and younger, 6-12, and 13+. Okay..so..like..13+=about half the contestants in the whole contest, right?
I BEAT them, dammit! WOOT!
I got a free copy of the book and was third in line due to this win. x3

Yay, first, some pictures of me and my costume. And, yes, these were taken afterwards, so, the little bit of make-up I had on is already too pale for my overjoyed-red face, and, therefore, looks funny. But..oh well.

The line when we got there, 30 minutes early, and it was MOVING, yet was constantly staying backed-up all the way to the next store, Old Navy.

OMG, I LOVE this Umbridge. She was awesome and SO In-Character. She had the prissy girly voice, and little Hello Kitty plushies in her purse, and when I asked to take her picture, she was all like 'Oh, wait while I get my Ministry-approved shoes on.' as she went and put on her high-heels and posed. Afterwards, I said 'We'll get that lousy Potter, just you wait.' Hee.

During the costume contest, they went on after me, with all of these pins and things supporting Draco and saying how much Potter sucks, and squeeing over the Draco-ness. Ahh...I love my fangirls..I mean...Draco's fangirls..uhm >.>

Being judged. During it I proclaimed, in my British accent I had grown accustomed to the whole evening, "Potter WILL die, and if he doesn't, I will kill him myself...or J.K.Rowling..whoever comes first."

Me with my special 'This person won the costume contest and gets third in line as well as a free copy of the book' Ticket. The guy who announced the contest guided us through the whole mass of the crowd (the whole store was PACKED, and the line stretched OUTSIDE once more.) and made sure we were in front. The youngest who won had fallen asleep (awww x3) and the second youngest was dressed as the Whomping Willow xD. She was adorable.
